AIRLINES
On Vietnam domestic aviation market, the Vietnam Airlines still has a monopoly, even there are flights from Jetstar Pacific Airlines, a low-cost company and Mekong Air which has the same quality with Vietnam Airlines but both of them has less flights.
Vietnam Airlines has a wide routine and cover most of major cities, with a modern fleet consisting primarily of Airbus and Boeing.
Unannounced cancellations may occur. It is also a subject to change your itinerary.
RAILWAYS
It has been improving in many years but still far behind than airlines.
We sometimes organize a soft adventure for you to have experience of all transportation in Vietnam, in this case you could enjoy the trip less than 12 hours such as: Hanoi – Sapa, Hanoi – Hue,Nha Trang, Saigon …), but the train is absolutely uncomfortable and slow.
You could have a choice to take better quality train to Sapa by Victoria Train but only availability for their in house guests.
From Hanoi to Hue: You could take Livitrains which is the better one than Vietnamese railway service
ROAD NETWORK
The network is uneven but steady improvement in the service of economic development. You can meet and occasionally work along the way in mountain regions.
By bus and by car: You will travel in large air-conditioned buses or cars very new (the competition is strong, and companies generally offer very good service) with good drivers honking in the night! The remaining traffic is messy but it must be said, transportation fastest (and safest) to rally the various destinations.
TAXI, MOTO TAXI OR BIKE
Taxi fare is relatively cheap in Vietnam, you could pay with the meter at 0.50 $US/Km and could feet 4 persons. It would be ideal for your to travel around the city but avoid TAXI SCAMS by taking this brand.

The bike and cycling are the means of transport most used in Vietnam. It is very easy to find motorbike taxi (xe om) around town and at a reasonable price especially.

In cities like Hue and Hoi An, the scooter and the bike are mostly very pleasant. This lets you avoid the city centers, the breeze keeps you cool, but watch out for sunburn and burns exhausts.
Wearing a helmet is mandatory and normally supplied by Motobike Renter. We suggest you to have good quality helmet for your safety
RENT A CAR/MOTOBIKE
The foreign driving licenses are not recognized in Vietnam as such: it is forbidden for tourists to drive a motorcycle or a car, so it is necessary to use the services of a chauffeur. Only foreigners residing in Vietnam (or long-duration mission, beyond 6 months) are allowed to drive after their licenses transform Vietnamese driver’s license.
CYCLO
The cyclo is fun in small towns such as Hue or Hoi An or, in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. We suggests you to negotiate the price before boarding, make sure that he knows where your want to go. It would be good if you could even make sure on the map. It is also a good way to avoid trishaw scram especially during the night.
