If you interested at the Monks’ alms procession, please be ready at 5.30. – Daily dawn, saffron clad monks pad barefoot through the streets while pious townsfolk place tiny ball of sticky rice in there begging bowls. It’s quiet, meditative ceremony through which monks demonstrate their vows of poverty and humility while lay Buddhists gain spiritual merit by the act of respectful giving.
